What a time the Brighter team had at last night’s Business Travel People Awards in London!
The showpiece event – organised by The Business Travel Magazine – celebrated the talented teams and individuals in the business travel industry at the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms.
And we’re delighted to say our Brighter team scooped one of the big prizes of the night – the coveted Meetings & Events Team of the Year – where they were up against BCD’s M&E Venue Search Team and TAG’s Events Team.
A delighted Head of Groups, Meetings & Events Claire Conboy took to the stage to collect the prize alongside Head of Operations of Events Roberta Parr and National Operations Manager for Venue Find & Groups Georgia Suttie.
The judges were suitably impressed with the team’s achievement and highlighted:
“With a 100% customer retention rate and distinction from the Institute of Customer Service, this newly-merged meetings and events team is already making its mark, helped by the new MeetingsPro solution.”
We were also proud to have Roberta as a finalist in the hotly-contested Sustainability Champion of the Year category.
Our colleagues from Clarity continued the successful night with another two wins, and a highly commended.
Jake Lawley, a Strategic Account Manager, won the Rising Star award.
Executive Director of Travel, Donna Fitzgerald, won the TMC Above and Beyond Individual Award – that’s after she took to the stage to present the Consultant of the Year award which was sponsored by Clarity.
Chris Lawn also weighed in with a highly commended award in the People Manager of the Year category.
And we aren't stopping here! Next week members of the team will be heading back down to London for the Business Travel Awards Europe ceremony.
