The Hilton London Paddington has completed the revamp of its impressive event spaces.
With a sparkling new foyer – perfect for welcome drinks and receptions - the 84 square metre, pillar-free Great Western 1Suite is a space that can host up to 300 people for a dinner dance, banquet or reception.
The room pays homage to the original Great Western Royal Hotel, which first opened in 1854, as well as to the Great Western Railway which operates from Paddington.
Meanwhile, the air-conditioned Great Western 2Suite has a capacity of upto 120.
The GW2 Ballroom, on the first floor, is connected to GW1 and can host upto 140 guests – an impressive staircase leading up to this pillar-ess Art Deco ballroom.
As well as these large event spaces, there are more than a dozen function rooms. There is an in-house events team who can assist with catering and AV equipment rental too.
Hilton London Paddington offers a wide range of 422 guest rooms from standard to executive rooms and suites and is connected with Paddington Station and four other London Underground lines on its doorstep.
Excitement is building for Radisson’s new 401-room hotel, The Medlock, at Manchester City Football Club.
Named after the river Medlock that runs underneath the Etihad Campus, the hotel is planned to open late next year and will join the Radisson Blu brand in the football club’s £300m development on the campus.
It is an addition to the expanding portfolio of stadium-based properties in the UK which include the Allianz Stadium Twickenham, Home of England rugby, and the famous cricket ground, Edgbaston Stadium, in Birmingham.
Easily accessible from Manchester’s city centre, The Medlock will benefit from a wide range of conference and events options within the Etihad Stadium.
The hotel will be operated by industry-recognised hotel management company, Valor Hospitality, and joins Radisson’s portfolio of 1,520 hotels in operation and under development around the world.
Guests of The Medlock will have access to a wide variety of food and drink outlets on the Etihad Campus, as well as a roof walk, museum experience and the UK’s largest indoor arena, Co-op Live.
