Georgia Suttie, our National Operations Manager for Venue Find, Groups & Field Trips, has been named the new Chair of the Generation Business Travel Association (BTA) Advisory Board.

Georgia has been elected into the role by her peers and will help steer the board as it aims to engage with the next generation of leaders within the business travel sector, bringing new and diverse perspectives to the BTA.

It is designed to ensure that the industry flourishes by reflecting the needs and views of everyone within it.

On taking up her new role Georgia said:

“I’m proud to have been part of the Generation Board since 2023. The board was designed to bring fresh and diverse perspectives to the BTA, ensuring the industry continues to grow and reflect the needs of its evolving workforce. Taking on the role of Chair for the next 12 months is an exciting opportunity for me to make a real impact, leading initiatives that drive positive change, fostering inclusivity, and supporting others to thrive in their careers. For me, it’s all about helping shape the future of the industry and empowering the next generation.”

Georgia joined the board in 2023 (alongside Clarity colleague Neil Wainwright-Farrar) and has been involved in some fantastic projects and campaigns, working closely with the BTA’s suppliers and partners, attending and supporting key events and delivering thought-provoking ‘hot-topic’ workshops at the BTA Autumn Conference.

Pat McDonagh, Clarity CEO, added:

“The BTA is our industry body and represents the interests of all TMCs in the UK.  I've been privileged myself to be a board member since 2017 and an officer since 2019 so it's something I believe in and support passionately. The Generation BTA Board is all about ensuring the association reaches all of our people, championing the development of talent and working to ensure our industry is promoted as an attractive place to work. I'm proud that both Georgia and Neil Wainwright-Farrar represent our business on the board and even more so that Georgia has been selected by her peers as the Chair.”
