Roberta Parr, our National Operations Manager for Events, joined MICE counterparts from around the world as they descended on the 5* St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat Resort.

And they were to be treated to a packed programme of events, activities and networking opportunities as soon as they arrived with a Greek-themed dinner on the beach with traditional dancing to start things off.

The second day saw Roberta take part in 1-2-1 business meetings – 15 to be precise - before a memorable sunset cruise on a traditional Dhow.

This was followed by dinner at Jumeirah Muscat Bay, dressed in traditional Omani attire, complemented with local entertainment and henna designs.

Day three saw another 10 business meetings with suppliers, before delegates took part in a keenly-contested Omani cooking competition which saw Roberta finish in second place, receiving a wooden spoon in the process!

The final day saw an excursion to Nizwa where they explored the market and fort before stopping for lunch at Alila Jabal Akhdar.

And the trip ended in style when enjoying drinks while the sun set, with dinner at Hotel Indigo Jabal Akhdar Resort & Spa.

Roberta said:

“The event was truly amazing, featuring a fantastic selection of suppliers. The destination itself was exceptional, offering outstanding hospitality and delicious food. The Omani people were incredibly friendly, showcasing their pride in their beautiful country. From stunning coastal views to majestic mountains, it was an unforgettable experience.”
