Louise Gray and Emma Matthews were on site in Derby at the four-day University Technology Conference which was organised to provide updates to external stakeholders and bring them, and staff, together.

Brighter had been tasked with creating a website for the event, as well as coordinating delegate management and accommodation.

With nearly 500 delegates attending, we worked with the venue’s Learning Development Centre catering and logistics teams before and during the event.

We were also on site for the entirety of the event which included poster sessions, workshops, speakers plus a networking dinner and drinks.

As is our usual aim of not wasting any food, the leftover bowl food from one of the evenings was given to Centenary House.

The team identified this good cause which is a safe and secure hostel which supports more than 30 homeless residents, many of whom are on their journey toward independent living.

Sophoclis Patsias, University Research Liaison Manager at Rolls Royce took to LinkedIn to thank the duo and praised them for their excellent support.

“Brilliant job Emma and Louise from Brighter’s events team. Thank you for all the hard work behind the scenes.”

We followed up this event with another for Rolls Royce, its Leadership event in London with Amy Kentley and Claire Garlick being on hand to help.

Once again, the team came in for praise following this high-profile event.

Rolls Royce’s Liz Dobby said:

“It is always a delight and a pleasure to work with Amy and Claire. Their professionalism and can-do attitude makes a difference. Nothing is ever too much trouble.”
