Zip World Penrhyn Quarry is an adventure park located in North Wales, UK. It's famous for being home to the fastest zip line in the world, Velocity 2. This adrenaline-pumping ride spans over 1.6 kilometers and reaches speeds of over 100 mph.

Velocity will take you zooming down the 1.6 kilometre zip line, providing you with up to 2 hours of incredible adventure. With 4 parallel lines over 2 separate zip lines, Velocity allows you to enjoy the experience alongside your colleagues. Speeding over the Penrhyn Quarry lake, you’ll enjoy picturesque views of Eryri (Snowdonia) without missing out on that all-important adrenaline rush.

Aero Explorer

Aero Explorer will take you on a high-speed journey across the quarry like never before. Feel the anticipation building as you climb the two spiral towers before launching off and gliding across 400m of track. As you go, you'll soar above the rugged terrain, taking in breathtaking views of the quarry landscape. Whether you're an experienced thrill-seeker or a first-time adventurer, this new experience will surely leave you feeling exhilarated and energised.

As you fly across the quarry, you'll feel the wind rushing past you and the thrill of the track as you race towards the next stage of the journey. Aero Explorer is designed to provide a one-of-a-kind experience that will challenge and thrill you at every turn.

Quarry Karts

Quarry Karts is the UK’s only mountain cart experience, seeing gravity fuelled three-wheelers descend an obstacle-filled 3 kilometre slate track. It all begins with transportation up to the top in their red, military trucks, with the start taking place 1,500 ft above sea level, where you’re treated to incredible views ahead of an intimidating descent that lasts around 3-5 minutes.

The unique vehicles have a low centre of gravity and a wide wheelbase, making them extra-stable, with hydraulic, independent disc brakes that allow you to slide and drift round corners. Pushing your driving ability to the limit are a series of obstacles including tunnels, chicanes and banked corners, while you get two runs included in your booking – so you can learn the ropes on your first attempt.

Quarry Tour

A great opportunity to learn all about the history of this iconic location, it’s a 90-minute trip up to the top of the quarry at 1,500 feet above sea level, taking in stunning views of the Ogwen Valley, Menai Strait and Snowdonia National Park.

Once you embark on one of their red ex-army trucks, you’ll be treated to an in-depth tour by an experienced guide of what is the oldest slate quarry in the world. What was also once the world’s largest manmade pit, it’s now filled with brilliant blue water creating a truly stunning spectacle. From the top, you’ll be able to watch the brave zippers taking part in Velocity 2, the world’s fastest zip line, while keeping your feet safely on solid ground!
